Biography

Entering his senior season, Meeks has appeared in 37 games with 20 starts. He has a 6.77 ERA in 133 innings pitched with eight complete games and 67 strikeouts. Meeks has put his name in the OU career record book. He is ranked third in appearances (37), tied for third in complete games (8), seventh in ERA (6.77), seventh in victories (7), fifth in inning pitched (133), and tied for sixth in strikeouts (67).
 
2012: In his junior season, Meeks played in 13 games with 11 starts. He finished the season with a record of 3-8 and pitched seven complete games. Meeks had a career best 4.43 ERA, striking out a career high 39 in 69 innings pitched. Meeks had a career high six strikeouts against Peru State College (3/10). He finished the season tied for fourth in the OU record books in single season complete games (7).

Summer of 2011:  Meeks played in the Arizona Collegiate Wood Bat League. He appeared in eight games, making five starts and having two complete games. Meeks went 1-5 with a 4.85 ERA. In 35.2 innings he struck out 35.

2011: Cole split time between the varsity and the junior varsity in his sophomore season. At the varsity level he appeared in 12 games, making three starts. Meeks had a record of 1-1 with a 14.63 ERA. In 24 innings pitched he had 12 strikeouts. On the junior varsity he had a record of 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA.

2010: In his freshman season, Meeks appeared in 12 games on the pitcher’s mound and finished the season with a record of 3-2. He earned KCAC Pitcher of the Week honors once last season. Meeks finished the year with a 6.08 ERA with one complete game. He had 16 strikeouts in 40 innings and opponents had a .304 batting average against him.

High School: Meeks was a four year letter winner in baseball and earned three letters in basketball for the Broncos. He helped the Broncos to the 2009 Homeschool World Series and to a West Regional Championship. In 2008, the Broncos were HWSA World Series Runners-up and earned a West Region Championship. In 2007, Meeks helped the Broncos to the KCAA Tournament Championship and helped them to the HWSA Tournament national qualifier. He was selected in 2007 to the KCAA All-Tournament team. Meeks helped them in 2006 to the HWSA National Championship and to a HWSA West Regional Championship. He spent the summer of his junior and senior years playing for the OKC Ambassador Baseball team.
