Kissner had three complete games with a 9.67 ERA. He had a season high five strikeouts twice with the last being against Friends University (3/17).

2011: Kissner pitched at both the varsity and junior varsity levels as a sophomore. At the varsity level he appeared in 16 games on the mound, making 11 starts. Kissner had a record of 3-8 with three complete games. He earned KCAC Pitcher of the Week honors once for his performance against then no. 24 Tabor College. In 67.1 innings pitched he struck out 47. On the junior varsity level, Kissner appeared in two games. He had a 6.75 ERA in four innings pitched, striking out three. Kissner had a season high eight strikeouts against University of Saint Mary (4/21)

2010: Kissner played on the varsity and junior varsity level in his first collegiate season. On the varsity level he pitched in 51.2 innings and had a 5-3 record with a 7.14 ERA. Kissner made nine starts, had three complete games and 11 appearances. He had a career high 11 strikeouts against Briar Cliff University (3/7). On junior varsity he appeared in two games and finished with a record of 0-2. Kissner had a 6.75 ERA, striking out five in eight innings pitched.

High School: Kissner earned one varsity letter for Blue Springs High School. He earned Second Team All-Conference and All-Area in 2009 and was an American Legion Honorable Mention selection in 2008. Kissner was named to the 2009 5th District American Legion All-Star Game.
