2014: Steinbacher played in 23 games, making 17 starts behind the plate in his freshman season. He finished with 14 hits in 58 at bats for a .241 batting average. Steinbacher scored two runs, hit two doubles, had one homerun, drove in eight, had a slugging percentage of .328, was walked once, hit by a pitch twice, and had an on base percentage of .279. High School: Steinbacher lettered in baseball for Shawnee Mission East High School. He earned Second Team All-Sunflower League honors as a designed hitter and was invited to play on the Dirt Dandies All-Star team. As a senior, Steinbacher had a .350 batting average, a .406 on base percentage, a .383 slugging percentage, and had .789 OPS.
