2014: O’Dowd played in 48 games for the Braves as an infielder, outfielder, and pitcher. As a pitcher, he appeared in 15 games, making seven starts. O’Dowd pitched in 37 innings, striking out 10 and finishing the season with a 5.84 ERA. At the plate, he had 20 hits in 105 at bats for a .190 batting average. O’Dowd scored 22 runs, hit five doubles, drove in 10 runs, walked nine times, was hit by a pitch nine times, had a slugging percentage of .238, an on base percentage of .309, and went 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. He had a career high two hits three times with the last being against the University of Saint Mary (4/5).

High School: O’Dowd lettered in baseball for New Bloomfield High School. He was a team captain for the Wildcats and was a Second Team All-Area, All-District, and All-Conference selection. O’Dowd excelled in the classroom as well and was named to the Academic All-Conference team. As a junior he was named to the Missouri All-State Team as a utility player, was the District MVP, and earned First Team All-Conference honors. As a senior, O’Dowd was named the team’s MVP and led the Wildcats in batting average, ERA, RBIs, and stolen bases. He was also a member of the National Honor Society.
