2015: Huneke earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors in his first season as a Brave. He was fourth on the team in tackles, finishing with 50 (27 solo, 23 assisted). Huneke had 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery.

HIghland Community College: Huneke earned two letters on the football field for HCC. As a sophomore he appeared in all 11 games finishing the year with 47 tackles and four sacks. Huneke had a career high eight tackles against Coffeyville Community College and a career high two sacks versus Hutchinson Community College. In his first collegiate season he played in six games and had seven tackles.

High School: At Sabetha High School, Huneke was a four year letterman in football and wrestling for the Bluejays. On the football field he was a two-time All-League selection, earned First Team All-State in 2013 and was fifth in in 3A in the state of Kansas in tackles with 127. As a wrestler, Huneke competed in the 182 pound weight class, finishing sixth at the Kansas 3A State Wrestling Tournament in 2012 and fifth in 2013.
