2015: Garcia played on the junior varsity team as a freshman.
High School: Garcia was a four year letterman in football and track for LaCrosse High School. He also earned three letters in basketball for the Leopards. Garcia helped LHS to two, Kansas State Football Runner-up finishes as a freshman and junior. As a senior he was named to the Kansas Football Coaches Association 2-1A Top 11, earned First Team 2-1A defensive back honors from the Topeka Capital Journal, was named Honorable Mention 2-1A at quarterback by the Wichita Eagle, was named First Team All-Central Prairie League as a defensive back, earned Second Team All-Central Prairie League honors as a quarterback and punter, was named KPreps.com All-District at quarterback and honorable mention as a defensive back, he was named KPreps.com Offensive Player of the Year.
In his junior season, Garcia earned Second Team All-Central Prairie League honors at quarterback, was named First Team Wichita Eagle 2-1A at quarterback, earned First Team honors from the Topeka Capital Journal at quarterback and Honorable Mention as a defensive back, and was named to the Hays Daily Super 11 Team. As a sophomore, Garcia earned Honorable Mention 2-1A honors at quarterback from the Topeka Capital Journal and the Wichita Eagle. He was named to the Honorable Mention Team for the Central Prairie League. Garcia earned Second Team All-Area honors from the Hays Daily News and Honorable Mention All-Area from the Hutchinson News. He was a Kpreps.com All-District Team Honorable Mention selection at quarterback and defensive back.
Garcia finished his career by appearing in 49 games and going 229-for-440 through the air for 4,664 yards and 59 touchdowns. He had a .520 completion percentage and averaged 95.2 yards per game. Garcia had a career high 31 touchdown passes his junior season when he averaged 159.8 yards per game through the air.
