High School: Lively was a four year letterman in wrestling and earned three letters in both football and track for Norton Community High School. He participated in the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl and the 2016 Kansas Shrine Bowl. Lively helped lead NCHS to four straight 3-2-1A Kansas State Wrestling Team Championships. He wsa the 2016 195 pound 3-2-1A Kansas State Champion. On the track, Lively was part of the 4x100M Kansas 3A State Championship Team in 2016 and 2015. On the football field, he was named a Kansas 3A All-State runningback, was named to the Hayes Dailey News Area Super 11, was an unanimous First Team All-League selection at running back, earned First Team All-League honors at linebacker, was a KWCA Senior Academic All-State selection and was named Regional Wrestler of the Year.  Lively carried the ball 98 times for 992 yards as a senior.
