2014: In an injury shortened season, Gerch appeared in 22 games and made 18 starts for the Braves. He went 11-for-51 at the plate for a .216 batting average. Gerch drove in six runs, had a slugging percentage of .216, was walked six times, hit by a pitch once, had an on base percentage of .305, had one sacrifice fly, and one sacrifice hit. He had a career high three hits against Tabor College (3/20) and recorded his first hit in an OU uniform against Waldorf College (3/10).
Southwestern Community College: Gerch was a two-year letter winner on the baseball diamond for SCC. As a freshman, he appeared in 27 games and made 22 starts. Gerch finished with a .286 batting average with 18 hits in 63 at bats. He scored eight runs, hit five doubles, drove in 10 runs, had a slugging percentage of .365, tallied 11 walks, had a .408 on base percentage, and he was 2-for-3 in stolen base attempts. In his second season at SCC, Gerch appeared in 18 games, finishing with a .312 batting average. He scored four runs and had three RBI. He finished his career with seven multi hit games and had a career high three hits against Grand View College (3/15/12).
High School: Gerch earned three letters in baseball for Ralston High School. He was a two-time All-Conference selection for the Rams.
