2013: Stangby had 32 receptions for 507 yards and five touchdowns in his first season as a Brave. He averaged 15.8 yards per reception and 42.3 yards per game. Stangby had 37 kickoff returns for 1,036 yards, an average of 28 yards per return. He had two kickoff returns for a touchdown, with a longest of 95 yards against Baker University (9/7). Stangby earned Second Team All-KCAC as a kick returner and Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors as a receiver. He was ranked first in the NAIA in total kickoff return yards (1,036), eighth in kickoff return yards per attempt (28), 18^th in all-purpose yards per game (1,569), and 23^rd in all-purpose yards per game (130.8).

Los Angeles Valley College: Stangby earned First Team All-State honors at receiver and was a First Team All-Conference selection as a kick returner for the Monarchs. He finished at LAVC with 62 receptions for 993 yards and eight touchdowns. He led the 2009 team with a punt return yard of 18 yards and a kick return of 37 yards against Los Angeles Southwest College (10/24/09).

High School: Stangby was a First Team All-State selection for North Hollywood High School. He was a participant in the East vs. West All-Star Game.
