Butler Community College: Irsik redshirted his freshman season at BCC.

High School: Irsik earned four letters in football and two in basketball for Ingalls High School. In 2011 he earned Second Team All-SPIAA honors at receiver, was named a KPreps All-District receiver, and was named KPreps Honorable Mention at linebacker. As a senior, he earned Honorable Mention All-SPIAA at receiver, earend KPreps All-District at receiver and safety, and was KPreps All-State at safety. For his career, Irsik scored 50 touchdowns. In 2012 he had 104 tackles and forced eight turnovers. He holds the school record for most touchdowns in a game with six. Irsik played in the 2013 8-Man All-Star Game. He only played in the first half, finishing with eight tackles with one for loss. On the basketball court, Irsik helped the Bulldogs to the 2009-10 SFTL League Tournament Champioship.
