2013: Steiner split time between the varsity and the junior varsity team as a freshman. He finished the season with three tackles (1 solo, 2 assisted) and one tackle for loss on the varsity level.

High School: Steiner earned four letters in football and baseball for Central Plains High School He also earned three letters in basketball for the Oilers. Steiner earned All-League honors at defensive back and at quarterback for CPHS. He also earned All-District no. 5 First Team honors at defensive back and Honorable Mention honors at quarterback. Steiner was a K-Preps 8-man Division I All-State selection at defensive back and a K-Preps 8-man All-District no. 5 selection at defensive back and quarterback.  He earned Hutchinson News All-Area Honorable Mention honors at defensive back. Steiner was a 2012 Honorable Mention All-Class 8-man Football selection at defensive back. At quarterback during his senior season, Steiner went 62-for-136 through the air for 922 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also had 210 yards rushing. As a defensive back, he had 89 tackles, two interceptions, and 19 pass breakups.

Personal: Son of Chris and Tammie Steiner … born November 28, 1994 … physical education major.. His father Chris attended OU and was a member of the OU football team in 1995-96.
