High School: King was a four year letterman in football and basketball for Vinita High School He also earned two letters in baseball for the Hornets. On the football field he earned All-District and All-Conference honors. King was also named to the Oklahoma 4A All-Star All-Class team. In 2013 he was named District 4A-3 Defensive Back of the Year. He tied the school record of receptions in a season with 56 in 2013. For his career, King finished with 147 rushing attempts for 745 yards and four rushing touchdowns. He also had 94 receptions for 1,237 yards. On the defensive side of the ball, he finished with 224 career tackles and 12 interceptions. On the basketball court, he helped lead VHS to the 2010-2011 Oklahoma State Basketball Tournament and to a 2011 Area Championship. He was named to the All-Tournament team at the Pryor Invitational in 2014.

Personal: Son of Duwayne and Mona King ... exercise science major. He is from the same high school as former Braves Josh Forrest and Quinton Flaming.
