2013: In 12 games as a junior, Matteri finished with 45 tackles (26 solo, 19 assisted). He had two tackles for loss.

2012: As a sophomore, Matteri tallied seven tackles playing mostly special teams for the Braves.

2011: Matteri split time between the varsity and junior varsity as a freshman. At the varsity level, he had two solo tackles and one fumble recovery.

High School: Matteri earned three letters in football at Springdale High School. He helped lead the Bulldogs to three Arkansas State Playoffs. Matteri earned the University of Tulsa Hurricane Hustle Award at its 2010 camp, earned the Vype 7-on-7 All-Tournament Defensive Back Award, was named varsity captain in 2010 for Springdale High School, and was selected to play in the Seventh Annual Max Emfinger All-American Bowl Game Classic played on December 31, 2010 in Baton Rouge, La. The game was held at the Doug Williams Football Stadium.
